WHAT RFID MEANS IN JAMS
A small UHF RFID tag contains a chip and antenna. A compatible reader energises the passive tag and receives its identifier without needing line-of-sight like a barcode. JAMS connects that identifier to the jewellery product record, allowing software to recognise which physical item has been scanned and use that event inside inventory and operational workflows.
PASSIVE UHF RFID
A passive UHF tag uses the reader's radio field to power the chip long enough to communicate its identifier. The reader captures that identity and JAMS decides what the scan means in the business workflow.

JAMS combines item identity, reader hardware, access control and server-side software so the scanning event becomes useful operational information rather than just a raw RFID number.
