Portable long-range scanner

Overview

The GEM Scanner JS1 is a portable long-range UHF RFID scanner designed for inventory operations within the JAMS Jewelry Asset Management System.

Unlike short-range readers used to identify individual jewellery items, the JS1 is designed to scan multiple RFID-tagged products across a wider area.

Staff can move through showcases, display areas, storage areas and other sections of the store while the JS1 rapidly detects nearby JAMSY-tagged jewellery.

When used with the JAMS inventory scanning function, detected items can be compared against the expected inventory to help identify present, expected and potentially missing items.

The JS1 features wireless connectivity and a large rechargeable battery, allowing it to operate as a portable scanner without remaining physically connected to a computer or mobile device during normal scanning operations.

Its adjustable long-range RFID capability also allows the scanning distance to be adapted to different jewellery store environments.
