Overview
The GEM Wireless Reader JR2 is a compact portable UHF RFID reader designed for wireless use with the JAMS Jewelry Asset Management System.
Using Bluetooth connectivity, the JR2 can connect wirelessly to compatible computers, providing staff with greater freedom of movement around the jewellery counter or workstation.
The reader is designed for controlled short-range RFID scanning, making it suitable for identifying individual jewellery items without unnecessarily detecting tags located further away.
Its built-in rechargeable battery allows cordless operation, while the integrated display and audible indicator provide immediate feedback during scanning.
The JR2 is particularly useful for jewellery counters where a fixed desktop reader may be inconvenient. Staff can pick up the reader, scan a tagged item and send the identification directly to the connected computer.
