Compact desktop UHF RFID reader and writer designed for preparing and activating JAMSY jewellery tags. The JW1 provides reliable short-range tag reading and writing through a simple USB connection, making it ideal for product registration and tag preparation at the jewellery counter or back office.
Overview
The GEM Writer JW1 is the dedicated desktop RFID reader/writer used for preparing jewellery tags within the JAMS Jewelry Asset Management System.
Designed for controlled short-range operation, the JW1 allows staff to place an individual RFID tag close to the device and securely read or write the information required during product registration and tag activation.
Its intentionally short operating range makes it particularly suitable for jewellery environments, where staff need to work with one specific tag without unintentionally interacting with other RFID-tagged products nearby.
The JW1 connects directly to a compatible computer or workstation through USB and integrates with the JAMS tag preparation workflow. No separate power supply is normally required.
Within JAMS, the writer can be used during the controlled tag activation process, including identification and validation of authorised JAMSY tags before they are associated with a jewellery item.
Compact and lightweight, the JW1 requires very little counter space and is suitable for both permanent installations and portable setup kits.
